Event Details
On October 29, 2023, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) conducted a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in Pune in collaboration with NGOs such as the Lions Club, Aastha Breast Cancer Support Group, and Asmita Medical Foundation. ACM volunteers took to the streets to educate the public about breast cancer, providing information on risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of early detection through mammography tests. Alongside informative sessions and personal stories from breast cancer survivors, the campaign distributed special coupons offering discounts on mammography tests at partnering medical facilities. This collaborative effort aimed to break down stigma, inspire hope, and encourage individuals to prioritize their breast health. The campaign successfully fostered community awareness, with the distribution of coupons incentivizing people to take proactive steps towards early detection and preventive healthcare. The initiative reflects a significant stride in promoting breast cancer awareness and overall community well-being
Conclusion
Indeed there is a huge difference between the academics taught in college as well as our work in Industry. And this gap can be fulfilled by first clearing basics and then going into the depth of the topic. Second, by doing projects under good mentor guidance. And knowing about the industry and exploring opportunities.
